Finding True Happiness at Happy Hour

My mom always used to tell me, “You’ll never find true love in a bar,” and having been a bartender for several years during my twenties I discovered how true that was. I’ve made a lot of good friends and seen others form lasting relationships after meeting in a bar, but they were just that----bar friendships. I had other friends for going to movies, dining out, or doing other things besides hanging out in a bar. However, one fateful day twenty-five years ago I met someone for the first time in a bar, and for the first time my mom’s advice didn’t hold true. I met someone that I fell in love with and have been in love with ever since.
